Like many great inventions, the LYMA Laser came about quite by accident. Flash forward several years and it’s now been dubbed the ‘breakthrough beauty product of the decade’ – and could be the answer to your skincare woes.
A first for at-home beauty, the LYMA Laser can be used to tackle an abundance of confidence-sapping issues, from acne, pigmentation and rosacea to scarring, wrinkles, thread veins and sagging skin – it can even be used to target cellulite!
Developed for the medical industry, the portable cold laser treatment delivers fabulous results and is the most powerful of its kind to be safe to use at home. In fact, no other 500mW low level laser device is currently available on the market for cosmetic use and it’s the first time a laser of this power has been used outside a clinic.
When it launched in September 2020, having attracted over $1million in pre-orders, it was a sell-out – and judging by its glowing testimonials, with one woman branding it ‘life-changing’, it’s easy to see why.

Unlike many traditional laser and resurfacing treatments, the LYMA Laser doesn’t hurt or cause any damage to the dermis.
Suitable for use on all skin tones, it’s a real game-changer in the beauty realm and already boasts a host of celebrity fans.
And according to cosmetic surgeon Graeme E. Glass PhD, an Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery, the LYMA Laser is ‘one of the most exciting and innovative products to have been developed for the purpose of skin rejuvenation’, while DR Paul Clayton PHD, a Medical Pharmacologist, described the LYMA system as ‘the breakthrough beauty product of the decade.’
A MEDICAL GRADE LASER IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND
Many people assume lasers will hurt or could be dangerous, but not only is the LYMA cold laser treatment pain-free, the experts behind the brand say you can even use it to treat the delicate eye area without needing to wear safety goggles.
THE SCIENCE-Y BIT: HOW DOES IT WORK?
LYMA’s ultra-diffused lens technology marks the first time a clinic-grade bio-stimulating laser has been optimised for at-home use.
At its core is a deeply bio-stimulating infra-red (near invisible) medical- grade, continuous output laser. It disperses the single beam 25,000 times through an ultra-diffused internal lens, which provides precise, targeted power and ensures no damage to cells, meaning it’s even safe to use around the eyes.
This ensures the laser is not only able to reach the deepest layers of the skin, but also the fat and muscle tissue underneath, with sufficient power to stimulate skin regeneration.
When laser light interacts with skin, it exhibits a phenomenon called ‘speckle’, which amplifies its intensity by triggering a biochemical reaction that switches off the genes associated with ageing and switches on genes associated with renewal and tissue repair.
The LYMA laser also incorporates four high-power blue LEDs to help eliminate surface bacteria including Propionibacterium – the micro-organisms that can cause acne.

Described by Forbes as the product that ‘will disrupt the beauty and wellness industry’, the laser technology used by LYMA was discovered by a team of German scientists while developing a medical laser to help heal internal bodily injuries like degenerated cartilage, torn tendons and respiratory inflammation, in a bid to avoid invasive surgery.
During their research, they found the laser had a remarkable effect on the skin, smoothing wrinkles and diminishing pigmentation, acne, scarring, redness and rosacea rooted in inflammation.
Operating at an optimal power density (powerful enough to effectively stimulate deeper tissue) LYMA Laser represents a true breakthrough in effective at-home skin renewal.
LYMA Laser unlocks mitochondria – the energy source within our bodies’ cells – to provide them with more energy, thereby restoring their ability to produce collagen and elastin, with the potential to renew the skin in the process.^
It can be used to target skin conditions, including fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, acne, rosacea, pigmentation, cellulite, thread veins and bruising, and is optimised for all skin tones.
Clinical trials over a 12-week period demonstrated a reduction in pigmentation by 64 per cent, rosacea by 42 per cent, acne by 56 per cent and wrinkle depth by 53.8 per cent when the LYMA Laser was used at home twice a day.*
And it couldn’t be easier to use; after applying the LYMA Active Mist and LYMA Priming Serum, you simply pass the laser over your skin for 15-20 minutes (while you’re catching up on your favourite boxset), slowly moving between target areas.
With daily use, most people will see results within a matter of weeks, depending on their age and the skin condition being treated. The experts at LYMA then recommend customers use it twice a week to maintain the results.
It’s no surprise this revolutionary device is already taking Hollywood by storm. In fact, LYMA shipped more lasers to Los Angeles in December than it did to the rest of the world combined!
It’s close to equalling the popularity of LYMA’s supplements, which launched to a 48-hour sell out in February 2018. The formula contains nine peer-reviewed ingredients designed to help improve sleep, tackle anxiety and support immunity and normal hair, skin and nails.
The LYMA Laser starter kit contains the LYMA Laser, plus a 30-day supply of LYMA Priming Serum, formulated to deliver deep cellular regeneration and optimise the laser’s performance, and LYMA Active Mist, made up of 36% of active stabilised oxygen – the most effective natural ‘antioxidant’ out there
IMPRESSIVE RESULTS THAT TRANSFORM LIVES
Model Penny Lane, 26, was left with significant scarring and unable to work following a rogue infection caused by a make-up artist’s dirty brushes, which left inflamed angry red spots across her cheek.
For three months she took three different antibiotics but the rash continued to grow in size and began spreading up her face. A skin specialist later diagnosed it as a superbug that some people contract in hospitals.
‘I was worried it was going to cover my face entirely,’ she said. ‘When I was speaking to people I could see they were staring, and if I went for a job I felt I had to apologise for my skin because it couldn’t even be covered up.
‘It was all I could think about, so I stayed inside loads and kept my head down if I went outside. It was such a horrible chapter in my life.’
Model Penny Lane, 26, was left with significant scarring and unable to work following a rogue infection caused by a make-up artist’s dirty brushes, which left inflamed angry red spots across her cheek – but the LYMA Laser restored her skin to its former glory
Penny was prescribed an incredibly strong topical antibiotic that finally killed the bug, but was left with significant scarring and ‘completely devastated’, worried she’d be scarred for life.
She claims the LYMA Laser repaired the damage and restored her skin back to its former glory. She integrated the Primer, Mist and Laser into her daily routine, spending 15 minutes working across the affected area.
‘I couldn’t believe how quickly the scarring was fading and that gave me the momentum to keep going,’ she said. ‘After six weeks, I’d got such good results that I lessened the usage to a couple of times a week and in just two months I’d gone from being anxious of anyone staring at my face, to being confident in the way I looked again.
‘The LYMA Concierge Service was amazing for me. They’re happy to answer any questions over the phone and talk you through how to use the laser. I’ve returned to modelling now and my confidence is back too. It’s been such an emotional journey. I was skeptical that a cold laser was going to be able to work on such an extreme case as mine, but it proved me wrong and I’m super grateful for it.’
‘The LYMA Laser changed my life’
Jenny, 35, a therapist for children and young adults in Brighton, was diagnosed with a heart defect in 2017 and required open heart surgery. While the operation was a success, she was left with a very red and aggressive-looking scar on her chest.

Having undergone a course of LED sessions at a clinic and seen little improvement, Jenny decided to try the LYMA Laser after hearing about it through a doctor friend who had used it to treat pigmentation and a childhood scar on her chin.
‘My scar was a painful reminder of a time in my life that I wanted to transcend and leave behind. The less I saw of it, the more I could concentrate on where I wanted my life to go,’ she said.
‘I’d never noticed my friend’s scar, but when she showed me the difference the LYMA Laser had made, I was astounded. Around two months of using the laser daily and her scar was almost invisible.’
Within a month of using the LYMA Laser every day, along with the Active Mist and Priming Serum, Jenny said she noticed a big change to her own scar
‘It’s weird, because you can’t feel the laser, you can be deceived into thinking it’s not working. But the pictures say it all,’ she said. ‘The LYMA Laser has changed my life.
‘It’s given me more confidence and has contributed to a growing sense of inner strength. I used to feel self-conscious about wearing low cut tops because people would often stare and ask questions I didn’t really feel like answering. My scar is so faded now and that’s thanks to the laser.
‘I’ve recommended it to all of my friends and family – my mum is using it on a 50-year-old scar and she’s already seen results in four weeks. That makes me so happy.’
Lucy Goff, 48, used the LYMA Laser to target the saggy skin and wrinkles on her knees that meant she spent her life in trousers.
‘I did the treatment every single night while I watched boxsets. I didn’t miss a day, and within weeks the difference was amazing,’ she said.
‘I’m wearing miniskirts for the first time in 30 years! And for the first time in decades I cannot wait for the summer so I can wear shorts and sundresses.’

After a terrifying emergency C-section, Charlotte, 35, was left with a large scar – a constant reminder of her son’s traumatic arrival.
‘Every time I looked in the mirror the scar on my stomach reminded me of how I almost lost everything and it was getting me down,’ she said.
Having saved money by not going on holiday last year, Charlotte’s husband suggested she try the LYMA Laser to help her get past her ordeal and move on.
‘I was a bit dubious at first as it was expensive, but oh my word! I cannot tell you the difference,’ she said. ‘I did the cold laser treatment every day for a few weeks and it’s just a faint line now. It may sound daft as no one else knew the scar was there, but for me, just personally, it’s made a huge difference.’

Having grown up in Abu Dhabi, model Lizzie, 51, had begun to notice the pigmentation on her face increasing with age, despite always being careful in the sun. She also felt she’d lost volume in her cheeks and that her nasolabial folds (the indentation lines on either side of the mouth) had become more pronounced.
When she saw the LYMA Laser improve the skin texture on her face, she began using it on the rest of her body – running it along her arms, over her chest and on the backs of her hands while relaxing on the sofa in the evenings.
‘A few weeks ago, I started running the laser over my lips and friends have already said they look much plumper,’ she added. ‘I’ll be taking it away with me on holiday!
‘Some days I can’t quite put my finger on what’s improved, but all the lines are just softer. I had one fine line on my right cheek that’s really been bothering me, and now it’s almost completely disappeared! I’m thrilled with that. My under-eye areas are definitely brighter and smoother, too.’

Mother-of-five Marilyn Rivlin, 75, of Leeds, hardly ever used moisturiser, struggling to find the time to stick to any kind of skincare regime while running around after her family.
Now all her children are settled, she decided to ’embrace life’ and treat herself – and has been ‘amazed’ by the results of using the LYMA Laser on her face.
‘People I’ve not seen for a while literally do a double take when they see me,’ she said. ‘I’ve had friends ask if I’ve had a facelift, and my daughter asking me if she can borrow it too.
‘If anyone is wondering if it’s too late and they should just save the money, I’d tell them to just go for it. If it could work on me then it should work on anyone, and I do not regret a thing!’

AN INVESTMENT FOR THE FUTURE
The LYMA Laser starter kit contains the LYMA Laser, plus a 30-day supply of LYMA Priming Serum, formulated to optimise the laser’s performance, and LYMA Active Mist, made up of 36 per cent of active stabilised oxygen – a natural and effective ‘antioxidant’.
At £1,999, it’s not cheap. But it will last for 10 years – ensuring big savings in the long run if you’re currently paying for regular treatments like fillers or micro-needling, or if you’re planning to splash out on a year’s course of in-clinic laser treatments which can cost around the same amount.
If you can bring yourself to share it, your nearest and dearest could benefit from it too – particularly if you’ve got a teenager suffering with acne or a friend who’s self-conscious of her C-section scar. It might also surprise you to know that a third of the people who have bought the LYMA Laser are men, so perhaps you could persuade your partner to go halves!
The good news is, LYMA – which is headquartered in London and distributes to 70 countries worldwide – now offers the option to pay in installments, allowing you to spread the cost over six months.
